That is a description of everyday use, not a promise that cushions can live outdoors in all weather. Keep them under a roof when you are away. Furnishing a holiday home or rest house

A summer house has a different rhythm from a main home. It stands empty for months, then holds three generations at once. That suggests a few rules.

Seat as many as the walls allow. A U-shape on three walls is the efficient choice for a large reception room.
Choose covers you can wash. Sofhu’s covers are zippered and removable, and it states they can be washed at 30°C.
Pick a seat that recovers. The cushions are 32 kg/m³ polyurethane foam with no springs. Denser foam generally keeps its height longer, which suits a set that takes heavy use in bursts.

Both are planned along walls, and a floor sofa is not freestanding. Each run needs a wall behind it, so a glazed wall facing the view cannot carry seating.

Winter in the mountains

Taif’s altitude brings cooler winters along with the mild summers. If the house is used in the cooler months, a thicker, warmer fabric is the sensible choice for the main room. A family that uses the house only in summer can go the other way and choose linen or a flat weave indoors. Tell Sofhu when the house is occupied and the designers will suggest accordingly. Before you order

How should cushions be stored in a house that is closed for months?

Leave them clean, dry and uncompressed. Wash or vacuum the covers before you lock up, stand loose cushions on edge so air can move around them, and cover the set with a cotton sheet to keep dust off. Do not seal foam in plastic in a closed house, since trapped moisture is what causes a musty smell.

Can the outdoor set stay on the terrace all year?

Sofhu describes its outdoor fabric as water-resistant and able to handle light rain and moisture. It does not state that the pieces can be left out permanently, and Taif's mountain weather includes rain, mist and cold. Treat the cushions as something you bring under cover when the house is empty and in the wet months.

Can the indoor and outdoor sets match?

They can be coordinated. Indoor and outdoor fabrics are different materials, so an exact match is unlikely, but the designers can pick an outdoor fabric in the same colour family as your indoor set. Order both in one enquiry so the colours are chosen side by side.

What layout suits a rest house that hosts big family groups?
