For most people the honest answer is no, and that is why you are here. A search for an Arabic furniture store near me tends to return general sofa shops and a handful of ready-made floor cushions in one size. A proper majlis has to fit the room wall to wall, so it is not the kind of thing a shop keeps on a shelf.
Sofhu is not a shop either. We are a manufacturer of Arabic majlis and floor sofa sets in Türkiye, and we sell online. There is no Sofhu branch, counter or stockroom in any city outside Türkiye, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do instead is simple: you send us the measurements of your walls, we build the set to those measurements, and it is delivered to your door with free shipping worldwide.

What we make
Everything Sofhu makes is seating for sitting together along the walls of a room, the way guests are received across the Arab world and its neighbours. Two products lead the range, and they are not the same thing: the Arabic majlis is raised and fully upholstered, and the Arabic floor sofa is a low set of cushions.
- Majlis sets. Raised, sofa-height seating built as upholstered units: a solid base, tall fixed backs and arm bolsters, usually in an L or U along the walls of a guest room. Start with the Arabic majlis page or go straight to complete majlis sofa sets.
- Jalsa. The word many Gulf and Levant shoppers use for the majlis set itself. See Arabic jalsa.
- Floor sofas and diwan floor sofas. Low cushion sets that sit on or near the floor: a seat mattress, loose back cushions and armrest blocks, usually with an ottoman and floor pillows, as single rows, L-shapes and U-shapes. See Arabic floor sofas and the wider Arabic sofa range.
- Afghan toshak. Thin floor mattresses with loose bolsters, covered on the Afghan toshak page.
- Wooden bench sets and outdoor seating. Raised wooden frames with cushions for people who prefer not to sit on the floor, and outdoor majlis seating for terraces and gardens.

Traditional Arabic furniture is not one style. A Yemeni family may want the tall backrests and close-set armrests of a Yemeni diwan, a Saudi household a long perimeter Saudi majlis, and a Moroccan family a bench-height salon, which is a raised tradition rather than a floor one. Why buy direct from the maker
A manufacturer can change the product. A shop can only sell what arrived in the container. That difference shows up in four places.
Size. Each run of seating is made to your wall lengths, so the set runs corner to corner without a gap at the end or a piece that sticks out past the door frame.
Fabric. You choose from velvet, linen, chenille and woven fabrics, in the colour and pattern that suits your room, instead of the two or three colourways a retailer ordered.
Foam. Sofhu cushions are filled with 32 kg/m³ (32 DNS) high-density foam. Density is the weight of material in the cushion, not how hard it feels. Denser foam generally keeps its height and support longer, which matters for seating that carries a full room of guests every week. The cushions contain no springs. Covers. Covers are zippered and removable, and Sofhu states they can be machine washed at 30 degrees. In a house with children and coffee, that matters more than a showpiece fabric.
How buying without a store visit works
Most of our customers have never met us in person. The order is built so that you see and approve everything before production starts.

- Send. Use the quote by measurement form or WhatsApp. Add a photo or short video of the room.
- Choose. We send fabric photos and video. On project orders you can go through options with a designer by video call.
- Confirm. You receive a quote for your exact set, and you agree the layout, sizes and fabric before it is made.
- Receive. The finished set is inspected, packed and shipped to your address.

Shipping is free to every country, so no freight line is added to your quote.
Foam travels well when the air is taken out of it. Sofhu vacuum packs the cushions in sealed bags, which reduces the volume of the parcel. When it arrives, open the bags by hand rather than with a knife so the fabric is not cut. The foam starts to recover its shape as soon as air gets in.
