Buying a majlis online: the short version
If you are looking for a majlis for sale, you are a few messages away from one. Sofhu makes Arabic majlis sofa sets in Türkiye and sells them direct, with no retailer in between. Buying takes five steps.
- Choose a design and a layout: single row, L-shape or U-shape.
- Measure the walls the seating will sit against.
- Get a quote for that exact set.
- Approve the sizes, fabric and total.
- Receive the set at your door, with free shipping worldwide.
Sofhu makes two kinds of Arabic seating, and both are bought this way. An Arabic majlis is raised to sofa height, with an upholstered base, tall fixed backs and arm bolsters. An Arabic floor sofa is a low cushion set that sits on the floor with loose back cushions, usually with an ottoman and floor pillows. Most of the photos on this page are majlis sets; a few floor sofas are shown beside them.
You will not find an add-to-basket button with a price next to it. That is deliberate. A majlis that fits one room would leave a gap in the next, so each one is priced after the measurements are known. The rest of this page explains what you can order, what moves the price, and what to expect between approval and delivery.
Majlis sofa sets you can order
The Sofhu shop works as a showcase. It shows designs that have been made, and any of them can be made again in your sizes and your colours. Use it to point at what you like.
Most buyers start by choosing one of three layouts.
- Single row. One wall. The smallest complete majlis, and the natural choice for a small room.
- L-shape. Two walls meeting in a corner. The most common family layout.
- U-shape. Three walls. The classic guest room, seating the most people.

The two photographs show burgundy velvet majlis sets at both ends of that range. On the left is a single majlis seat under an arch. On the right is a burgundy majlis in a U-shape around a cream rug. The fabric, foam and workmanship are identical. The amount of each is not, and that is the first lesson in majlis pricing.
For the layouts in detail, see majlis sofa sets by layout and size and L-shape and U-shape majlis layouts. If your room has columns, bays or doors in awkward places, go to custom majlis.
What decides the price of a majlis sofa
A majlis sofa price is built from materials and labour, and both scale with the choices below. We publish no figures on this page, because a figure without your measurements would be a guess.
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Total length | More metres means more foam, fabric and sewing. This is the largest factor. |
| Layout | Corners and extra runs add pieces, backrests and armrests. |
| Fabric | Fabrics differ in cost, and patterned cloth needs matching at the seams. |
| Cushion thickness | A thicker seat uses more foam. |
| Detailing | Piping, embroidery, fringe and shaped armrests add hand work. |
| Accessories | Ottoman, floor cushions, loose cushions, rug and curtains are added per piece. |
Two things do not change the price. Shipping is free worldwide. And the foam is the same on every order: 32 kg/m³ (32 DNS) high-density foam. Density tells you how much material is in a cushion, and denser foam generally keeps its height and support longer. It is the number to ask any seller for, because a light foam can be made to feel firm when new.
When you compare an Arabic sofa set price from different sellers, compare like with like: the same total length, the foam density in writing, removable covers or not, and whether delivery is included. The article on what affects the price of a custom majlis goes through each factor, and marketplace floor sofa sets against a custom majlis explains why two sets that look alike in photos can be very different to sit on.

Getting a quote
A useful quote needs three things from you.
- Measurements. The length of each wall that will carry seating, and where the doors and windows fall.
- A design reference. A photo from the shop or the galleries, or simply a colour and a mood.
- Your country and city, so delivery can be planned.
Send them through the quote by measurement form or on WhatsApp. If you have not measured yet, give us rough figures and we will tell you what else we need. Asking for a quote does not commit you to buy.
If you are still deciding what kind of set you want, two older Sofhu guides are worth a few minutes: how should I choose an Arabic sofa and five tips for choosing an Arabic sofa.
Payment and order confirmation
Your order is confirmed in writing before anything is made. The confirmation should list every seat length, the layout, the fabric, the cushion thickness, the accessories and the total. Read it against your own notes. A mistake caught at this stage costs nothing to fix.
Payment methods and terms are given to you with the quote. We do not list them here, because they are confirmed order by order. If you have a preferred way to pay, say so when you ask for the quote.
Keep the whole conversation, with the photos of your chosen fabric, in one thread. It is your record of what was agreed.
Delivery to your door
Once approved, the set is made in Sofhu’s workshops, inspected and packed. Cushions are vacuum packed in sealed bags, which makes the parcels smaller and protects the fabric in transit. It is then sent by cargo carrier to the address you gave.
At the door, three things are worth knowing.
- Open the bags by hand. A blade can cut the cover underneath.
- The foam begins to recover its shape as soon as air reaches it. Give it time before you judge the height.
- An Arabic floor sofa is not freestanding. Lay the seat mattresses along the wall first, then lean the back cushions against the wall on top of them. A majlis arrives as upholstered units that are set in place along the wall.
Your country may charge import duty or tax on goods arriving from abroad. That depends on the destination and is separate from shipping. Ask us before you order. The guide to how a majlis is packed and delivered follows a parcel from the workshop to the living room, and how to order a custom majlis online covers the whole route for buyers abroad.
Judging a seller you cannot visit
Searching for an Arabic majlis sofa for sale near me rarely turns up a local maker, so most buyers end up choosing a seller from a screen. A few checks separate a workshop from a reseller.
- Ask who makes it. Sofhu is the manufacturer. A maker can answer questions about foam, seams and sizes without checking with someone else.
- Ask for the foam density in writing. Ours is 32 kg/m³.
- Ask whether the covers come off. Sofhu’s covers are zippered, removable and washable at 30 degrees.
- Ask for photos and video of your fabric, not a catalogue image.
- Look at finished rooms. The customer reviews page and the galleries show sets in place.
