Heat, dust and the covers
Baghdad summers are extremely hot and dusty. Dust is the thing to plan for, because it reaches every room.
Choose the ground colour to match the problem. Beige, taupe and grey with a woven pattern hide dust. The beige, cream and grey majlis ideas show rooms in that range.
Choose a weave you can clean. A flat woven or chenille cover releases dust to a vacuum cleaner. Velvet gives a formal room its depth and is described by Sofhu as easy to clean, but it shows dust sooner in a dark shade.

The cushions are 32 kg/m³ polyurethane foam, called 32 DNS in the trade, with no springs. Density is the weight of material in the cushion. Denser foam generally keeps its height and support longer than light foam, which you notice in a guest room after a few years of gatherings. A softer or firmer feel can be requested.
