The short answer

A green majlis can be emerald, olive, khaki, forest green or teal, most often paired with cream, ivory or gold. This gallery shows both Sofhu products in green and teal, raised majlis sets and low floor sofas, as single rows, L-shapes and U-shapes, with fabric close-ups. Sets are made to measure in Türkiye from your room measurements, with free worldwide shipping.

Which green majlis: emerald, olive, khaki or teal

This gallery mixes Sofhu’s two products, a little over half majlis and the rest floor sofas. The olive, khaki, forest green and teal sets with fixed upholstered backs and arm bolsters are Arabic majlis sets, raised to sofa height. The emerald medallion, olive chenille and water-green velvet sets with loose back cushions, ottomans and floor pillows are Arabic floor sofas, low cushion sets at floor level. Two photos are fabric close-ups.

Start with the shade, because the greens here behave differently. Emerald medallion chenille, used on the floor sofas, is strong and graphic, with cream and gold in the pattern. Olive velvet with ivory backrests, as on the U-shaped majlis below, is softer and reads almost neutral. Khaki sits between green and beige. Teal leans toward blue and looks cooler in daylight. A green majlis is easier to choose once you know which of the four you are drawn to.

What green is paired with

Three pairings recur in these photos. Green with cream or ivory is calm and suits a bright room. Green with gold baroque borders is formal. Green with a black and gold base is the most dramatic, and the studio shots show it most clearly. For green beside deep red, read emerald green and burgundy majlis ideas.

Where the teal sets belong

The teal velvet majlis sets use ivory medallions and a striped base. They are grouped here rather than with the blues because the cloth carries a clear green cast. If you want a true blue, the navy and blue gallery is the place to look.

Getting your green set made

Each set is built by Sofhu to the walls of your room, so the photos are starting points, not fixed products. Note the photo, measure the walls and send both through get a quote. The custom majlis page explains what can be changed, from fabric to foam firmness, and how to choose majlis colours helps with walls and rugs. Questions

Before you order

Which green is easiest to live with?

Olive and khaki behave almost like neutrals. They sit quietly beside beige walls, wood floors and existing furniture, and they do not date quickly. Emerald is a statement and wants the rest of the room kept simple. Teal is the coolest of the group and works where the room already has blue or grey in it.

Can the fabric swatches in this gallery be used on any layout?

The swatches show olive and teal chenille with medallion and band designs. Fabric is chosen per order, so a swatch can in principle go on a single row, an L or a U. Availability of a particular cloth can change, so name the swatch photo in your quote request and we will confirm.

Does a green majlis suit a room with little daylight?

Dark emerald and forest green lose their colour in a dim room and can read as nearly black. Where daylight is short, olive with ivory or a green and cream pattern keeps more life. Warm lamps flatter emerald in the evening, while cool white bulbs tend to flatten it.

Can the matching medallion rug be ordered with the set?

Yes. The emerald sets are shown with a rug and ottoman in the same medallion design, and rugs and ottomans can be made alongside the seating. Say whether you want the patterned rug or a plain one, because a plain cream rug changes the feel of the room a good deal.

What is inside the cushions?

Sofhu fills its seat cushions with 32 DNS polyurethane foam, which means the foam weighs 32 kg per cubic metre. There are no springs. Density describes how much material is in the cushion and how well it keeps its shape, not how hard it feels. On custom orders you can ask for a softer or firmer foam.
